The First Baptist Church School was established in August of 1969 under the prayerful guidance of Woodrow Ham, Fair Brown Hollis and Linda Ray Cox as founding board members. It began with Mrs. Juanita Blanton as the Director and Kindergarten Teacher. In July 1977 first and second grades were added. In 1988 Pre-Kinder was added and each year after, adding grades up to the 6th grade.
The School is an active member of the Texas Association of Baptist Schools. It provides a quality academic program with a foundation of Christian principles based on the truths of the Bible.
FBCS begins each day with prayer. Bible classes are part of the curriculum and you will find that prayer is an important foundation to each part of our day and school activities.
